Noosa for Neuro

Trent Robertson’s Epic 2,000km Challenge for Neuroblastoma Research

In September 2025, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Trent Robertson completed an extraordinary challenge to support children battling neuroblastoma. Covering 2,000km in just 30 days, Trent ran and cycled from Parkdale, Victoria, to Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club in Queensland, raising over $100,000 for life-saving research.

We are incredibly grateful to Trent for dedicating himself to Noosa for Neuro.  He worked so hard. Not only in training for two whole years in the lead-up to the event, but reaching out to sponsors, local communities, and media so that he could raise awareness for his fundraising.

An Epic Journey

Trent’s ambitious route took him through diverse and demanding landscapes, including the Too-Rour Plantation, Weddin Mountains, and Deer Reserve State Forest. To complete this challenge he:

  • Ran the equivalent of 20 marathons, covering 42–50km every three days

  • Cycled over 1,200km, tackling steep climbs and rough terrain

Trent’s Mission to Make a Difference

Trent spent over two years training for this immense physical feat, driven by a passion to make a difference in the lives of children diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

Thank you to everyone who supported Trent’s incredible effort and helped fund vital neuroblastoma research. Every step and every kilometre he covered has taken us closer to better treatments and hope for young children diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

A Cause Close to Trent's Heart

Oli was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, at just two years old in September 2020. After a broken femur led to the discovery of a 10cm tumour and widespread cancer, he faced 18 months of gruelling treatment—but ultimately rang the hospital bell to mark being cancer-free.

Supported by his family, doctors, and Neuroblastoma Australia, Oli continues his recovery with remarkable strength.  As a close family friend, Trent was inspired by Oli's courage and was determined to make a meaningful difference for children like him.

In loving memory of our father, Joe. Throughout his life, Joe held a deep love for his family, especially his nephew, Phillip, who was taken from us by neuroblastoma. This disease profoundly affected our family, and it was important to Joe that Phillip’s memory be honored. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Joe’s memory will honour both of their lives and support neuroblastoma research, helping bring hope to other families facing this devastating illness.
